The Grand Canyon is located about 250 miles from Las Vegas and a trip well worth the drive. The Grand Canyon is visited by roughly five million people each year the park consists of 277 miles of the Colorado River and its massive erosional effects seen on the surrounding landscape. The grand Canyon can be visited from either the south or the north rims. Upon arriving at the Canyon you should stop in at the Grand Canyon Villages to get oriented with the National Park. Also from the village you can get on the Bright Angel Trail which will take you a good nine miles to the bottom of the canyon. Visitors can experience the canyon with a walk on the Grand Canyon Skywalk- a glass bridge that extends out over the west rim of the Grand Canyon.
